Toddler Car Parking Lot ~ Number matching Game
We have been working on number recognition recently. Â What better way to learn, than a hands on activity! Â I have a little one who love cars. Â He loves lining them up, sorting them by color and simple zooming them all around the house. Â There are a number of fun car parking lot ideas out there, but I love this one by B-Inspired Mama. Â We didn’t have a large box, so we used paper instead.
How we made our simple Number matching Game:
I drew a simple grid-like parking lot on a large piece of paper. Â We are working on recognizing numbers 1-10, so that is what we focused on. Â I simply taped the number 1-10 on the top of each car. Â As he drove his cars around the simple track, he then parked the corresponding car into the correct number stall.
This simple activity occupied our entire morning.  I had a few other activities planned for our day, but I saved them for another time.  He was having too much fun playing learning with the cars.  Love it!  This simple math activity was so easy to set up and so much fun.  One that we will be repeating again soon!  Maybe on a larger scale next time.
