How to make a simple finger puppet ~ Groundhog’s Day craft for kids
Where did January go? I don’t know about you, but I’m really hoping that the Groundhog does not see his shadow on Feb 2nd.  I am SO ready for spring!  Anyway, since we’ve had so much fun making puppets with yarn, craft sticks and even creating some fun process art, we decided to make little Groundhogs.

Materials Needed:
- Brown Card Stock
- White and Black paper
- Sharpie Marker
- Glue
- Circle Punch ~ optional
- Printable Groundhog Finger Puppet Template
How to make a Groundhog Puppet:
- Print off our free template
- Trace and cut out all the pieces
- Glue all the pieces together
- Draw on a mouth
Put two of your fingers into the holes {AKA groundhog feet} and now your cute little groundhog is ready to see his shadow.
Who wants the groundhog to see his shadow on Feb 2nd?  I’m and so ready for spring, although my kids are hoping for a few more big snowstorms.
