How to peel an Egg in Under 5 Seconds ~ Trick to Peeling an Egg
What I’m about to share with you is going to change how you peel hard boiled eggs…guaranteed!  That’s a pretty big claim, but honestly this little trick has changed eggs in our house.  This crazy tip made me realize that I have been peeling eggs wrong my whole life.  Seriously, why didn’t someone tell me this sooner?
I’m excited to be teaming up with my good friend Nathan from Minnesota Cold for a fun series all about eggs.  We are sharing “egg-citing” experiments and unique ways to color eggs.  No traditional egg dye here!
All you need is:
- One hard boiled egg
- A glass jar or cup
- Water
Boil your eggs using our simple trick to make the perfect hard boiled egg…every time!
Fill the jar with about an inch of water, and place the egg into the jar.
Cover the top of the jar with your hand. Â Make sure that you hand seals the top of the jar completely, or you will have water everywhere. Â Working over the sink is always a good idea.
Now shake the jar vigorously.  Swirling, shaking and swishing the water around in the jar will loosen the shell and help it to break away from the egg.
No more picking, cracking and agonizing over peeling an egg! Â Amazing!
We have found that using a mason jar is even easier, especially for kids.  Add the water and egg to the jar and seal it up.  No matter how much shaking you do, everything stay right in the jar.  Honestly, you can peel an egg in under 5 seconds.  Love that!

Wish I was a kid again….way too much fun with eggs!!!!!
