I am so excited to have Jenna sharing her adorable Handprint Flower Pot craft with us today. Â I recently met Jenna over on Instagram (my new passion) and I instantly fell in love with what she was creating with her sweet daughter.

Hi, I’m Jenna, a Mum from the UK with a new found love for doing arts and crafts with Ella (my 18 month old whirlwind).  We have soooo much fun creating new pieces together and I hope you enjoy our latest creation.  Pop on over to Playtime with Ella to see what else we are creating.
This is such a fun project that can be used for all occasions; Mother’s Day, Easter, Birthday’s, anything at all!  I have chosen to do mine as Mother’s day gift for both Nanny’s (I may also have made a third one to keep for myself!!).
Materials needed:
- Flower pot
- Straws
- Shredded tissue
- Paper
- Paint / paintbrushes
- Scissors
- Glue or cellotape
- Play-Doh or Blue-Tac
Optional for decoration:
- Ribbon & bows
- Gift Tags
As an added extra, you can decorate the flower pot if you like, using ribbon & bows, stickers, glitter or just paint.
To start, you need to make the ‘flowers’. I have chosen to go with pink, red and purple but you can use any colours you like. Paint little hands and make handprints on the paper, once they have dried cut them all out.
Another adorable option is to make flowers using footprints!
Once you have all your ‘flowers’ then you need to stick them to the straws – this can be done with glue or cellotape (I actually preferred cellotape for this). Its best to cut the straws to different lengths so they sit nicely once in the pot.
It’s best to then add a little ball of Play-Doh or Blue-Tac to the bottom of the straws, this weighs them down in the pot and stops them from moving around.
Then the fun part… planting all your lovely new flowers into their flower pot. Once you are happy with the position, fill in the pot with the shredded tissue paper and you’re done!!!
