Easy St. Patricks day Craft for Kids ~ Paper Plate Pot of Gold!
Is there a Pot of Gold at the end of the rainbow? We sure hope so! These little rainbows were so fun to create by combining a couple of our favorite craft supplies…wash tape and paper plates. The results are stunning! Ok and a little psychedelic, but thats what makes them so amazing.

We were inspired by this sparkly pot of gold from Crafty Morning and this adorable rainbow pot of gold from Tutus and Tea Parties.
I helped the kids cut a half circle out of the inside of their paper plate as shown above. Looks a bit like and Easter Basket.
Using scissors is always a favorite activity around here, especially when it involves cutting tape. Extra bonus points if its washi tape. the kids are almost as obsessed as I am!
We gathered as many patterns of black washi tape as we could find. The kids then set to work cutting small strips of black tape to cover the bottom half of the paper paper plate. Pretty sure the Leprechauns would approve of all the patterns.
Next, the kids used colorful washi tape to create the rainbow portion. Again, they cut the tape into small strips to make it easier to handle. We found it easiest to tape all the red and then move onto the next color.
Next, we covered a square of paper with green washi tape, cut out a shamrock using the template and taped it to the center of our pot of gold.
