Spring Bird Crafts for Preschoolers ~ perfect for Easter
If you are looking for simple Easter Crafts for kids, then you are in the right place.  We love making simple 5 minute crafts.  Our favorite quick Easter crafts include these little paper chicks and a simple egg carton cross.  Today we are making little Easter Chicks that are perfect for creating with little fingers.
Easter Chick supplies:
- Paper Circle
- Yellow Tape ~ Masking tape will work too
- Googly Eyes
- Orange diamond for the beak
- Yellow feathers
- Clothes pegs for legs (optional)
The kids love using tape, and I am always looking for ways to add it to our current project. Â As you can see it, we used tape squares to color the body of our little chick. Â I helped the little ones by cutting squares of tape. Â However, the older preschoolers used scissors to cut the tape themselves. Â This is a fun way to work on those all important fine motor skills.
Next the kids glued on the eyes, beak and yellow feathers. Â For a couple of the kids this was their first time gluing on feathers. Â There were lots of giggles as the feathers clung to their fingers.
You can either hang your Easter Chicks on the fridge or add little clothes pin legs so they can stand on their own.
If you don’t have colored tape, you could always paint the circle yellow. Â However, by using tape, there is no dry time. Â Making this a quick and simple project to make.
I love the little clothes pin legs.
I love how our little Chicks turned out. Â It is one of my favorite 5 minute projects we have made.
