Heart Chicken
Q: Â Which side of a chicken has the most feathers?
A: Â The outside!
I love how easy this little chicken was to put together.  The hardest part was the 3-D beak (but you could just use a regular heart).  We created the beak by folding the heart in half, then folding the rounded edge into the center.  We also chose to cut the edges of the wing heart, but you could just fold them to the back as well.

Heart Fish
Q: Â Which part of a fish weighs the most?
A: Â The scales!
This is one of our easiest heart animals to create.  I love that it only takes 6 hearts and a couple of circles.

Heart Squirrel
Q: Â What Do You Get When You Cross A Detective and a Squirrel?
A: Â A Nut Case!
I love the crown of mini hearts this little squirrel is wearing!  Adorable!  Use as many or as few of the little hearts as you like…we may have gone a little over the top, but I love it!

Heart Alligator
Q: Â Why don’t alligators like fast food?
A: Â Because they can’t catch it!
The alligator face is actually created with a large heart. Â Simple cut the top of the heart off right where it begins to curve. Â The kids had fun adding all the little alligator teeth. Â We liked them bumpy, but would look a little more intimidating with the pointy end out.

Heart Hedgehog
Q: Â What do you get when you cross a giraffe with a hedgehog?
A: Â A six-foot toothbrush.
This little hedgehog requires LOTS of mini hearts, but it is totally worth it.  We used little foam tape to attach this little guys head.

Heart Bunny
Q: Â How do you know carrots are good for your eyes?
A: Â Because you never see a rabbit wearing glasses!
You kids will love creating this simple hippity hoppity project.  You could even make a bunch of them and create a beautiful garland.  Plus it would look adorable for Valentines Day or Easter!  Two holidays in one craft.
