Paper Plate Bumble Bee ~ Easy Preschool Craft
We love creating Paper plate crafts.  We have a large stack of paper plates in our art cupboard ready to turn into something amazing.  A few of our favorites include our Hedgehog and Lady Bug.  However, these little Bumble Bees are right up there.  They are so adorable and the kids had a blast making them.  Read on for the full tutorial.
Did you see our pink, fluffy Cotton Ball Pigs we made a few days ago?  We combined our Yarn Wrapped Bees and the Cotton Ball Pigs to create these little bees.  Adorable!

Materials needed:
- Paper Plate
- Yellow and black paint
- Paint brush
- Cotton Balls
- Black Paper
- Googly Eyes
- White Glue
- Old Book ~ that you don’t mind taking apart
Start by painting the paper plate yellow and adding a couple thick black stripes. Â While that is drying…paint the cotton balls. Â The kids can then glue the painty cotton balls onto the painted plate.
Finally glue on…a half circle head, a couple antennae, a stinger, some book page wings and a couple of googly eyes.  Viola you have a cute little bee!
Cotton balls are so easy to use in crafts, plus they are super inexpensive (especially if you pick them up at the dollar store).  Did you know that you can bake cotton balls?  Check out our Baked Cotton Ball Earth project for the recipe.  It is super easy and just the right amount of messy!
