Simple Bug Craft for Kids ~ Yarn Wrapped Spiders
Have you seen our Yarn Wrapped Bees?  They quickly became a favorite at our house, and as a result I couldn’t resist creating a spider version.  They turned out completely adorable and perfect for Halloween.
Materials Needed:
- Cardboard Circle ~ with notches cut into it
- Black Yarn
- Googly Eyes
- Glue
- 8 Clothes Pins
- Black Paint
Start by painting the cardboard circles and clothespins black. Â Make sure to let them dry completely.
Encourage the kids to wrap their painted circles with yarn.  I precut little slits or grooves all the way around the cardboard circle.  This made it super easy for the kids to wrap their yarn.  We knotted the yarn once the kids were satisfied with the amount of yarn covering their spider.
Finally, clip the clothespin legs onto the spider and glue on the eyes.
Turn your Spiders into spooktacular Halloween decorations.
Punch a hole in the top of your spider to hang it.  I love how ours  are hanging down at varying lengths along my living room curtains.
Turn your little spider into a puppet with the addition of a popsicle stick.
