We love making yarn wrapped crafts.  A few of our favorites include yarn wrapped bees, spiders and bats and now fuzzy gingerbread men.
Materials needed:
- Gingerbread Man ~ we used the gingerbread printable found here.
- Cardboard
- Brown Yarn
- Goggly Eyes
- Pom Poms
- Glue
- Scissors
How to make a yarn wrapped gingerbread man:
Cut a gingerbread man shape out of your cardboard. Â You can print out gingerbread man template out here. Â I cut little slits along the outside of the gingerbread man to help keep the yarn from slipping, although that is just preference.
Cut a long length of brown yarn. Tape one end to the cardboad. Wrap the yarn around the cardboard every which way direction until you have a fluffy gingerbread man.
When you reach the end of your yarn, tape or tie it off on the backside of the gingerbread man.
This is such a great fine motor activity for kids. Â Wrapping yarn can be a little tricky for little fingers.
