Ready to craft your own colorful dinosaurs?
Materials needed:
- Colorful paper
- Circle Punch ~ optional, but my kids love using ours!
- Glue
- Scissors
- Printable Dinosaur PDF
How to make a Heart Dinosaur:
Print out our Dinosaur PDF on heavy weight paper. Cut out the pieces to use as a template. Have the kids choose their favorite color combination, trace and cut out the shapes. We used 2 different colors of paper for each of our little dinos. Then assemble and glue the pieces together.
You totally don’t need to use the PDF. These little dinos are so ease to free hand. Each dinosaur requires: one larger heart, 5 heart spikes, a half heart for the mouth, a number of tiny hearts for the spots, a pink tongue, pointy teeth and a couple giant eyes.
Circles are tricky to cut for little ones. We love using circle punches to make giant eyes, however oversized googly eyes would be adorable as well. Totally up to you.
Add a quirky little Valentine saying like “You are Dino-mite!” or “You make my hear roar!”
Happy Valentines Day!
