Animals made from hearts ~ Valentine Craft Ideas
With Valentines Day right around the corner, our house is slightly heart crazy. Â I have a ton of Valentine craft ideas floating around in my head, and I can’t wait to try them all out. Â Currently my kitchen island is covered in colorful heart shapes and paper scraps. Â Love it. Â Who knew Heart Animals could be so adorable.

Heart Fish ~ Valentines Craft for Preschoolers
By simply cutting slits in a few of the hearts, we created adorable fins. Â I also love the tiny heart scales.
Heart Dragonfly ~ Valentines Craft for Preschoolers
The body is built with graduated sizes of hearts. Â We created the wings by layering half hearts. Â The top wings are slightly larger than the bottom set. Â All this little guy needs is a little glitter.

I love this simple floppy eared puppy. Â The heart tongue and whiskers were our favorite additions.

Chirp, chirp. Â Tweet, tweet. Â Just like our fish, we added a few slits to the wings of our little bird to create dimension. Â The addition of whimsical heart tuft of hair makes me smile.

I have a little owl obsession, and I am elated with how this little guy turned out. Â “Hoo” can resist these adorable round eyes?
Heart Monkey ~ Valentines Craft for Preschoolers
My daughter would love to have a pet monkey, however this little heart monkey will have to do;) Â We create this little guy in a number of different color combinations, but blue and brown was our favorite.

Hi! I love the owl! I am a looking to do this project for my child’s valentine’s day party. Can you please recommend a paper size I would use to cut the big heart? It is hard to judge in the picture. Thank you for your help!
