Halloween Decorations your kids can make ~ Bat Craft for Kids
I love decorating for Halloween. Recently we have been decorating the house with adorable friendly ghosts and junk drawer pumpkins. I love the addition of these simple paper bats. They are so quick to make and a fun way for kids to help decorate the house.

Bat Craft Materials:
- Black and White Paper
- Printable Bat Template
- White Colored Pencil
- Scissors
- Glue
Using the bat template, trace the bats onto the black paper. Cut out the traced bats and glue them together. You could use googly eyes, but I love how the over sized paper eyes look. Super simple!
Have you read the book Stellaluna? This would also make a fun activity after you read the book.
Outdoor Halloween Bat Decorations:
Turn your bat into an spooky outdoor decoration in just a few simple steps. Instead of using black paper, use black craft foam. Punch a hole and string them up using fishing line. They’ll withstand even the wettest of weather! Hang several of them in a tree for a spooky little bat colony or hang them from your porch. Super easy and oh so cute!
