Clothespin Reindeer Ornament

Clothespin Reindeer Ornament ~ DIY Christmas Craft for Kids

I love making simple Christmas ornaments with the kids.  With the busyness of the Christmas season, quick and simple crafts are what fit into our schedule.  Do you remember making adorable little Clothespin Reindeer ornaments when you were little?  They are so simple to make and always turn out great.

I love the look of old fashioned clothespins, however regular clothespins would look pretty cute too.  You can sometimes find vintage ones at thrift stores, which are my favorite.

We used only 1 pipe cleaner for each reindeer.  Simple cut a pipe cleaner in half and twist one of the pieces around the top of the clothespin.  Then cut the other piece in half.  Wrap one of the short pieces around each of the ends to form antlers.  It might sound confusing, but its super easy!

Finally, glue one the eyes and nose.  A dot of glue is all you need to get them to stick.  If you use too much glue, the eyes will slide down the side of the clothespin.  Set aside to dry.

These little reindeer are so easy to make.  You could use them as simple Christmas ornaments or they would look great as present toppers.
