Simple Preschool Carrot paper plate craft
Easter is quickly approaching. Most commonly, Easter crafts revolve around adorable chicks and creative ways to dye eggs. However, carrots are a fun way to add a bright pop of orange to your Easter decor. Paper plate crafts are so easy to make and these little carrots could not be any cuter.
As you know, we love simple kid crafts. Crafts that only require a few materials and take about 5 minutes are our favorite. Like our little cutting practice paper chicks. Super easy and basically mess free. Love that!
Paper Plate Carrot Materials:
- Paper plate ~ cut into a triangle or carrot shape.
- Orange and green paper
- Glue ~ we used bottles of glue this time, but our Glue Sponge would work great
We cheated a little and set out pre-cut orange squares. They were left over from a different project and just sitting in the art cupboard waiting to be used. I would normally encourage the kids to cut or tear their own. However, we did sneak in a little cutting practice to make the carrot tops.
I set a few carrots on the counter. The kids used them as reference while they were creating their paper plate carrot. We then enjoyed our healthy snack as the glue was drying.
I especially love the little spiky carrot tops.
We now need to create a little bunny to eat all the Carrots we have been busy making.
I am so in love with this! Absolutely adorable!
