Toddler Thanksgiving Craft ~ Shape Turkey
Thanksgiving is right around the corner…where did October go?  I am not ready for winter to settle in around us.  In hopes of hanging on to fall a little while longer, we created these simple shape turkeys.  These are a fun Thanksgiving craft that is perfect for young kids working on shape recognition.
Making turkeys from simple shapes is not a new idea. Â However, they are the perfect way to sneak in a little learning while creating adorable crafts with your kids. Â Work on simple shape recognition with your toddler. Â As an added bonus, this little shape turkeys will look great hanging on your fridge for Thanksgiving.
Googly eyes, construction paper, scissors and glue.  This simple list of materials are perfect for making these little shape turkeys.  I love art projects that are simple and only involve a few supplies when I am crafting with younger kiddos.

Circle Shape Turkey
Triangle Shape Turkey
My favorite shape turkey is the one made up of triangles. Â I love his pointy little feathers. Â Which one is your favorite? Â What is your favorite way to make turkey in your house?
These are so cute! What a great way to work on shapes!
My preschoolers were giggling about the silly turkeys they were making. Love it!
we are making these in kindergarten this week!
I would love it if you shared a few pictures with me. Leave a link or upload them to Housing A Forest Facebook page:)

Love this idea! We have been spending less time at the computer and tv as of late and more time together as a family – talking, laughing, and creating. I stumbled across your blog while searching for different activities for my kiddos on Pinterest.
Our favorite Thanksgiving craft is the “Tree of Thankfulness”. We cut a trunk and branches out of brown paper and tape it to the wall, then cut out leaves and write all the things we are thankful for and hang them on the tree. By the end of November is it overflowing with thanksgiving. 🙂
I love the idea of a “Tree of Thankfulness” It would be so fun to watch the tree fill up with leaves.

bulletin board. Thanks!
What a great idea! Shape practice AND adorable turkeys! I wondered if you’d be willing to let me link to this post in a fall kids craft round up I’m putting together on my blog. If I could link to it and use one of your pictures, it’d be great!
Thanks!
