Preschool Counting Activities ~ Counting Carrots
Spring is in the air and I can’t wait to start digging in the garden. Â Which is where the inspiration for our preschool counting activities came from. Â Recently we made adorable paper plate carrots, and handprint carrots. Â We are now adding simple counting carrots to our list.
Ready for one of the simplest material lists yet?
Counting Carrot Materials:
- Brown, Green and orange construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue
Encourage your kids to cut 5 orange triangles. Â These will become your carrots.
Write the numbers 1-5 and have the kids glue the carrots in numerical order.
They then cut 15 green paper strips, for the carrot tops.
Finally, they glued the number of green strips that correspond to the number on the carrot.
Simple counting activity that is perfect for woking on number recognition and scissor skills.
Counting carrots activity so cute!!
Thanks Susan
