Halloween party invites ~ Mummy Card
Are you looking for really simple Halloween party invites or a fun Halloween card? Â Then look no further! Â These little Mummy cards are quick to make and turn out looking great.
DIY Mummy Card:
- Burlap (I had some still left over from the Coffee Sack Art I created a while ago)
- Spray Adhesive
- Styrofoam Food Tray – or any hard surface to be used as the backing for your stamp.
- White Paint
- Googly Eyes
- Black and White Paper
Burlap Stamp:
- Cut 2 strips of Styrofoam and a strip of burlap that are all the same size.  (My strips were 1 1/4″ x 5″)
- Glue all the layers together, and your stamp is ready to go.
Use your stamp to create “gauzy” strips of white paint across your black paper.  Leave a small “V” that is unstamped for the googly eyes to peek out from, and your Mummy card is complete.
I love how cute these little Mummy cards turned out.  Now I just need to get them all addressed and mailed out.  We are getting excited for our Halloween party in a couple of weeks and these will make the perfect invites.  Stay tuned for more Halloween decorations as we get our house all decorated and ready!
Are you planning a Halloween party? Â I would love for you to share your favorite Halloween party decor, treats or favors in the comments! Â There is so much to do and I would love your help!

Hi! I love these! My daughter and I made them tonight for her Halloween party I am going to throw for her. I’m wondering what message you put inside? I’m having a hard time coming up with a good one. Mine didn’t turn out as cute as yours and I feel I need to put a “mummy” message inside of mine so people won’t be confused on what it is on the front.
Omg. Dying from the cuteness here! And how smart are you to glue the burlap to the styrofoam! When I first saw the picture I wondered how the heck you made a print like that!
Awesome cards! This going straight into my inspiration file 🙂
